Escoffion Pattern

£9.99

This is not a physical product. By purchasing this pattern you will receive a digital download for a PDF file.

Note that this pattern has only been tested using 3mm acrylic felt!
Because of the felt's thickness, it is not possible to create seams/hems. Therefore the pattern doesn’t have a seam allowance.
If you want to make this out of fabric, you can still purchase the pattern and add your own seam allowance.
For the same reason, the felt holds its shape. Therefore this pattern doesn’t include instructions for stuffing the horns, which you would need if you chose to use fabric.

INFORMATION
This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners / intermediate sewers (and crocheters)
Includes two options: higher horns and flatter horns
Both are one size only, for a head circumference of approximately 54-58 cm, though I give tips on how to make bigger sizes starting from the same pattern
The pattern is for the escoffion and veil only. It does not include the crocheted part of the piece (which I partially freehand) but I have inserted links to video tutorials and outlined the process.

MATERIALS
Approx 50x60cm of 3mm acrylic felt  (wool can also be used but is considerably more expensive)
Approx 140x40cm of chiffon fabric (or organza, mesh, tulle)
Sewing machine (optional - used for the veil only)
Magnetic snaps (pictures and link included)
Sewing thread
Sewing needle
Scissors
A4 paper
Printer

Optional:
Yarn (I use 1 skein of Anchor Artiste Metallic)
4mm crochet hook
Mannequin head
